Tinctures & Salves Workshop

In this hands-on class, you will learn the basic foundations of Herbalism.  Allison Clark teaches "Approachable Herbalism" in an inclusive atmosphere, inviting everyone to tap into our birthright of working with the plants growing wild & free right outside our door!  We will discuss wild and cultivated herbal medicinals, easy ways to implement them into your life, and get hands-on making straightforward medicines that work -- and take home the recipes -- as well as two full-size herbal products.

About Tinctures & Salves:
Tinctures are a convenient way to put up medicine for easy at-your-fingertips use at home or while travelling. Tinctures can be very helpful for busy people who need an easy-to-implement go-to medicine, a natural alternative to antibiotics, and more.

The skin is our largest organ and topical medicine is real!  Herbal-infused oils can make handy healing salves that work.  We will discuss Yarrow, Comfrey, Mullein and more, and how they can be applied topically for real, impactful healing when you need it most.

Throughout our discussion of Herbalism, we will of course sip tea.  Tea is our daily herbal medicine, such a wonderful part of a healthy life.  Explore common plants that grow wild in our area as well as tips and techniques for mixing medicinal blends.  Sip two favorite tea blends throughout the class with the option to purchase tea and additional wellness resources at the end.
